December 6th Youth Group Fundraiser

The Youth Group will have a concession stand downtown during the afternoon of Saturday Dec. 6th, before, during and somewhat after the 2 o'clock Christmas Parade. They will sell homemade monster cookies, hot chocolate and coffee.

The stand will be set up outside the Central Bank annex building at 212 East High Street.  [This is in the center of the block on the south side; the number is prominent on the building.] We’ll need help getting the stand set up and will try to be open for business by 12:30 or so.  The parade starts at 2:00.  We won’t be able to clear out until after the parade is over, so we’ll keep selling as long as we have stuff to sell and people are still buying.  We’ll need people to help at the stand and we’re also hoping to send out a couple of teams of people selling cookies in the crowd (and drumming up business for the hot drinks stand) in the hour or so before the parade begins.

If you (parents or youth) are available to help, please let Sarah or me know.  If you have a preference (set up, take down, working the stand or working the crowd), please let us know that.

The youth group is raising funds for Adopting 2 Families at Christmas and for the Youth '09 Mission Trip to Heifer International Ranch in Arkansas.
