Open to 8th graders and up from 6: 00 p.m. Friday to 12:45 a.m. Saturday
Still a chance for everyone to be together, this is no longer an overnight lock-in. The event still starts at 6:00 p.m. but ends at 12:30 a.m. or 12:45 a.m. It is open to everyone eligible to go on the mission trip next summer: 8th graders and up. Participants are asked to contribute $5 each to help offset the cost of food. We'll have dinner and we're still having breakfast before we leave!
Here's the update from Robyn Burnett:
"We’ll prepare a Middle Eastern meal featuring falafel and homemade pita bread, so we’ll get a chance to try our hand at bread-baking under the direction of our master baker.

We’ll watch a short video called Rhythm that explores the idea of what it means to have a relationship with
God and we’ll have two prayer services – Compline and another short service for the nighttime as we wrap up the evening.
We’ll finish up the evening with breakfast at midnight, which will feature Norwegian pannekaker. Being
thin enough to fold and eat by hand (but forks are okay too), Norwegian
pancakes are something in between a French crêpe and an American
pancake. They are usually eaten with strawberry jam, but we’ll bring a variety of toppings to sample.
