ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICES ON FEB. 21ST

~The season of Lent begins~

The season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 21st.  Ash Wednesday can be thought of as a kind of baptismal branding.  We are marked on our foreheads with the cross of Christ, which is a tree of life to beckon us back to the garden, a reminder that we are mortal and made of the dust of the earth.  Coming back to our baptism is hard work, like pruning vines, plowing the earth, or the discipline of training for a contest.  Lent is a journey and our destination is Easter... promised land and home land.  Ash Wednesday services of Holy Eucharist and Imposition of Ashes will take place at Grace Church at 12:10 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on February 21st.

WE ARE INVITED TO ENTER THIS SEASON OF PRAYER, FASTING AND ALMSGIVING WITH THE ASSURANCE THAT GOD WILL PROVIDE BLAZING BUSHES, PRODIGALS RETURNING AND AN ARK ABOUT TO OPEN ALONG THE WAY TO EASTER.
