Grace Prayer Shawl Ministry Celebrates Four Years

by Julie Harker last modified Tue Dec 30 11:25 PM

This ministry began with a small group of knitters and crocheters

We have donated more than 750 shawls, blankets, hats, scarves and pocket shawls to people in need AND for celebrations such as baptism, confirmation, graduation, wedding or new babies. We hope this ministry has touched someone in your life and brought comfort and happiness.  It is our continued goal to keep this ministry a success.  You can help by letting any of the Prayer Shawl Ministers know if you have a need for one of our many creations.
We will no longer bless shawls on the second Sunday of the month.  Since many of us are meeting each Wednesday at 10 am in the Vestry Room, we will bless the shawls either at the 12:10 pm Eucharist or during our knitting session.  If you have a shawl or blanket to be blessed and can’t make the Wednesday blessing, please bring it and leave it in the shawl cabinet in the basket for garments that need to be blessed.
We are always looking for knitters and crocheters to help in this ministry.  We are happy to teach anyone to knit or crochet.  For information on requesting a shawl or blanket or if you want to join this fun and rewarding ministry, contact Nancy Belcher, nanknitter@gmail.com or Paula Bone, boneturner@embarqmail.com or the church office or any of the Prayer Shawl Ministers.
