A Mountain of Mulch
Grace volunteers spread mulch at new Salvation Army playground site
On Saturday, Grace volunteers of all ages - led by Don Stier and Ken Luebbering - spread out a mountain of mulch beneath the new playground equipment in the Lohman Prayer Garden at the Salvation Army Shelter on Jefferson Street. A semi truckload of mulch was delivered bright and early and when it was dumped onto the ground its peak was as high if not higher than the playground equipment. Several of the young ones moved the mulch from the very top down to the bottom where those with shovels moved and spread the mulch where it needed to be - in the playground area, along the pathway, around the young trees and shrubs and in the flower beds.Be watching for details on the Salvation Army Playground dedication scheduled on Saturday, October 24th.
