Chancel Space Study Committee Formed

Committee will examine chancel options

As the Vestry continues to look at concerns relative to the chancel space, we have selected the committee that will study and make recommendations for the use of this area.  This committee was selected to represent various groups or interests within the church.

 

o        The committee is as follows:

o        *Matt Krause – Junior Warden representing the Property Committee

o        Linton Bartlett – Vestry

o        Lynne Jeffries – Altar Guild

o        Gabrielle Crossnoe – Acolytes

o        Karel Lowery – Choir

o        Jerry Sill – Lay Eucharistic Ministers

o        Helen Johnson – 8:00 Service

o        Joseph Nylander – 10:30 Service and the Sierra Leone Community

o        Jamie Hall – ADA Issues

o        Brent Hemphill – Listening Committee

o        Shariya Molegoda – ex-officio member

 

*Matt will be replaced when the new Junior Warden is appointed in January.

 

      This committee will have their first meeting in December, and the expectation is that they will be meeting for several months to gather information and bring in subject matter experts that can help them develop recommendations to the Vestry.  It is also important for everyone to understand that any recommendations that are made must have the approval of the Diocese as the church is not our property.

            We realize that the work of this committee is of significant concern to all of us.  We ask that the congregation be very patient as we continue with the next step in this lengthy process of determining how to use our chancel space
