Food Donations Sought
by Sandy Weis and Sally Reid
Theere are two opportunities to donate food to those in need. The food for the month of February is canned soup. It would be great if we could collect a minimum of 100 cans of soup. February food items will be distributed to the Salvation Army Shelter Pantry. The weather is turning colder, so hot soup is a good food to help a person get warmed up. Give God thanks for all that you have, and please be generous in helping others.
In addition, the annual Boy Scout Food Drive to benefit the Samaritan Center will be held on Saturday, March 3. “Ready-to-eat” foods, peanut butter, jelly, etc. are suggested items to place in bags on your porch to be picked up by the scouts that morning. Volunteers are needed to help sort the food as it is brought to the center between 9:30 a.m. and approximately 2:00 p.m. Snacks will be provided. Please call the Samaritan Center (634-7776) if you are able to help that day. Also please tell them that you are representing Grace Episcopal Church.
