Lenten Study Offered

The Stewardship committee will be sponsoring a study group on Thursday evenings during the season of Lent.  The first session will begin on February 23, the day after Ash Wednesday, and the sessions will continue through March 29.  Last year, the group actually met the week after Easter as well because we wanted to continue with one more discussion.

Each Thursday we will gather in the sanctuary for evening prayer at 5:30.  Following the service, we will move to the parish hall for a simple but hearty soup supper, followed by the book discussion from 6:30 to 7:30.  If you are interested in contributing to one of those soup suppers (soup, bread and/or dessert), please contact Daphne (635-9782 or 573-808-4412), and we'll put you on the schedule.

Stay tuned for the book selection.  We think we have our selection made but details are pending.

Many people who ordered and read and used the book last year were not able to attend any of the sessions, so you may want to consider that as well.  After you know what the book is, you will be able to decide to join us.  We hope you will find this year's study as challenging spiritually and will find it helps you live a more meaningful, holy Lent.
