Prayer Shawl Celebrates 5th Anniversary

Ministry celebrates milestone

The Prayer Shawl Ministry began without any idea of what the joys of this ministry would bring.  We began in January 2005 with an enthusiastic group of knitters and crocheters.  Since beginning, we have given away over 950 shawls, blankets, hats, scarves, and prayer pockets to our own parishioners, friends and family members, local community organizations, the Missouri Diocese, and anyone in need.

      We are truly blessed by Shariya’s support and willingness to bless our garments anytime as well as the tireless knitters and crocheters who have made this ministry touch so many lives.  We are also truly grateful to those of you who have donated time, money, or supplies to our ministry.

      To commemorate our 5^th anniversary a framed hand-knit piece entitled “Tree of Life” made by Paula Bone will be presented to the church as our thanks for all the support we have received from you.
